BBT provides extensive oversight of its investment program.
Investment Guidelines set forth the direction and framework of our program. These guidelines ensure sound investment strategies to maintain stability in all our funds, preserve capital, and grow assets, while being true to the ethical and socially responsible values of the Church of the Brethren. These guidelines are closely adhered to by our seven investment managers.
The Investment Committee, composed of BBT Board members, includes:
- Ron Gebhardtsbauer, clinical associate professor of actuarial science and faculty-in-charge of the Actuarial Science Program of Pennylvania State University's Smeal College of Business.
- Eric Kabler, investment adviser, Kabler/Thoams Financial Group, Johnstown, Pa.
- Thomas McCracken, vice president and financial adviser, RBC Wealth management, Dallastown, Pa.
- Jerry Patterson, financial adviser, Valenstein & Patterson, Ashburn, Va.
- Harry Rhodes, attorney, Rhodes, Butler & Dellinger, Roanoke, Va.
BBT's Chief Financial Officer works closely with the Investment Committee, staff colleagues, BBT’s Board of Directors, and BBT’s investment firms to ensure a quality program that complies with BBT’s Investment Guidelines.
